Where Scattered meets Sacred

For Anyone Facing Cancer—or Loving Someone Who Is

I don’t have perfect words for this.
I don’t think anyone does.

This is for you—if you’re in the middle of it.
And for you—if someone you love is.

There’s a kind of fear that doesn’t fit into neat sentences.
The kind that shows up at 2am.
The kind that sits quietly in the room, even when no one is talking about it.

You don’t have to be positive.
You don’t have to “stay strong” in a way that looks good to other people.

If all you can do today is get through today, that counts.

Whether you believe in God, the Universe, or nothing at all—
I hope something meets you here.

Something steady.
Something that helps you keep going, even when this is too much.

If it helps, put your hand on your heart for a moment.
And picture yourself held in light—
not to take this away, but to remind you you’re not facing it alone.

That’s enough for today.
